Tate Modern

The piece we are creating for the exhibition, although based around a culture young with modern youths, is effectively a piece of artwork.
I have looked into the curation of similar exhibitions in some of the biggest galleries of the world including The National Gallery.
Public exhibitions started in Art galleries such as the Tate Modern, of which houses some of the most innovative an interactive art in the world. Public displays have been used since the dawn of time to showcase talent, emit emotion and to get an individual response.

Public Exhibitions first became pronounced when private owners began opening their art collections for public display. A long history of royalty has had open exhibitions to show off their wealth and well being and maintain their hierarchy amongst the public folk. This led to a 'pioneering new development worldwide of loan exhibitions, where artwork was loaned for a certain amount of time to be displayed before being transported back to the owner. Furthermore, this helped to establish modern Art galleries, and started the trend of more formal exhibitions.

The first ever loan exhibitions collected paintings from various collections, and were curated and established by the 'British Institution for Promoting the Fine Arts'.
